The Tin Roof is a great community supporter. Our larger charities we support include Northwest Harvest, Community Colleges of Spokane Foundation, YMCA's Camp Reed Youth Scholarship Program, Christmas Tree Elegance & the Spokane Humane Society. We believe the role of a locally owned business is to support the community that supports your business, as such we are a leading member of the local group "Buy Local, Give Local."
During the month of April, The Tin Roof is holding their annual Food Drive for Northwest Harvest. When you donate five or more cans of food, you'll receive an additional 5% off your entire purchase during our Spring Spruce Up Event. What's more - The Tin Roof is donating 67cents (Northwest Harvest can feed a family of three for a day with 67 cents!) for every new "like" on our facebook page during the month of April. If you're not a fan already, please logon to Facebook and "like" us today - you'll feed a family of three for a day through Northwest Harvest.
Heather Hanley, of The Tin Roof, sits on the board of the Community Colleges of Spokane's Foundation and is excited to be this year's Wine & Gourmet Gala Chair. Along with the committee, she'll be transforming the CCS lair into a vineyard and through the auction and dinner raising money for Community College programs and the foundation.
Just completed, The Tin Roof & Concept Home were proud to be selected as designers for the Extreme Team's designer challenge for the Salvation Army's new nurturing center. Along with three other designers, we designed and decorated a room for the new center in just one day! You can check out our work and the room on our facebook pages.
The Tin Roof, along with Sylvia Manwell of "Home Staging Works", furnished / staged / decorated the Community Colleges of Spokane Foundation's "Touch the Future" home. This annual project is a home built by students at the Community Colleges with donated materials on donated land! All proceeds from the sale of the home benefit the CCS Foundation's Scholarship Fund. We're excited to announce that the home sold in under two months - hopefully in part because of the beautiful staging and furnishings!

Through our partnership with YMCA Camp Reed, The Tin Roof's numerous donations of products and services sent several children to camp this year! We've enjoyed the postcards sent over the summer from the Kids at Camp. Thanks Loco! Keep up the good work!

This summer will also mark the Eight Annual Angel Ball Gala. Heather also sits on the board of this amazing organization and we're proud to help Julie and her team with this incredible event that raises funds for children with Juvenile Diabetes. It's a wonderful summer event - one not to be missed. Can't wait for the party this June!

Giving back to the community that supports our business is a founding principle of The Tin Roof & Concept Home. We have charities that we work with very closely and try our hardest to support as many local organizations through donations, volunteer time and dedication to the greater good.
